~ * Passion Driven Keep Em Spinnin * ~

Hey everyone what's up!  I'm back with a few more updates as to how things are progressing as the season is drawing in.

We finally went and picked up this beast from my last years sponsors shop.  Huge thanks to WORKS Motorsports for all the help and support last season.

We were trying to figure out what to do with the car being it is already all purpose built, and I will never get what Was invested into it back. Not to mention I'm kind of attached to it.  Lol
I had a guy that wanted to buy it from Canada but couldn't figure out how to get it through customs so I told him I couldn't afford to keep waiting on him any longer and was planning to just start parting it out to get what I could out of it.  We got to kicking a few ideas around and came up with the most rewarding idea we could think of.

As most of you know though, my ultimate goal is not only to get back on the track and chase my own personal championship dreams once again, but I would also love to help and see others with disabilities and same ambitions out on the track as well!  I want to be able to provide those that have the desire the chance to be able to come out to the track and enjoy activities that they once enjoyed participating in before there current disability, what ever extent it may be.  From the Veterans to dramatically injured athletes, whatever their passion maybe, I would like to be able to assist them with whatever they would like to do no whatever the extent of their abilities may be.

Long story short I started talking with a buddy of mine and I believe he is going to sponsor the car with everything it needs to put it back on the track.  We're still working out the details but I believe we're going to finish equipping the car with all the proper safety equipment and detune the engine a bit so it's a little more manageable for drivers with a little less experience.  We plan to keep the current hand control setup in the car and are going to make it Keep Em Spinnin Racing's first fully equipped disabled race car available for rent.

For those of you that don't know, I have been working on starting a racing team called Keep Em Spinnin Racing to help kids that have been injured, as well as up and coming racers that have the potential and hunger but don't have the support and financial backing.  Or even something as simple as someone there believing in them and their talents and abilities is sometimes all people need.  I just want to help them get out there pointed in the right direction and on a straight path because the worst thing in life to waste is talent.  This would also include an Adaptive Athlete Development program as well. Which will basically be a program where athletes  injured to whatever extent it may be will be able to come in and be tested and evaluated.  It will posses a full engineering department working specifically with the mobility that each individual client/athlete has, to show them life's far from over after an injury.  We will work on capitalizing on there strengths and weaknesses and what they can and cant do in order to be able to get them back out on the the track again doing what ever it is they love once again.  I ultimatly would like to help other racers with the same passion and dream i have to pursue and achieve there racing or competitive ambitions they have for them selfs in all different avenues of racing and extreme sports.

As for my race car, Like I mentioned in my previous post unfortunately the first race is looking like it is out of the question being that the car is still only about %60 done.  I'm super bummed but I think it will be good to be patient and go out there once everything is %110 perfect!

Here are the lasted updates with the cage and everything and how things are coming along.  It looks a little bit different from the first day we picked her up.

Huge thank you to D2 racing for Hooking me up with these Pro Sec Coilovers and all their continued help and encouragement for this 2013 season!  I can't wait to throw these bad boys on and go pull some G-forces!

Go check them out at d2racing.com for all your high performance suspension and braking needs...

Big thanks to VMR Wheels as well for setting me up with some fresh new shoes for the track this year! These babies should look clean on there!

Go check out the variety of styles and quality wheels they have to offer for all you daily drivers, show cars, or race car applications.

I dropped the wheels and Coilovers off on Monday so I'm hoping to pick up the car sometime by the end of the week from Borelli Motorsports and take it down to SoCal to begin the hand control fabrication process.  I'm hoping this doesnt take to long and once they are finished, we planned to do a slow shakedown track day before we bring the car home to make sure theirs no bugs with the new control system.

After the controls are done I hope to bring the car back home and finish dialing in the suspension.  Their is a track day at Laguna Seca on March 1st I'm aiming to do if we can swing it to do a shake down test before the first race but well see.  Shortly after that will be my first race of the season on March 16-17 at Infineon raceway in Sonoma.

I'm super excited watching it all come together and can't wait to get out there to start handling business!  I will have more updates and pictures by the end of the week once the car is done getting the cage all handled and Coilovers thrown on.

Thank you all for taking to read everything and continuing to send all your words of encouragement! I'm looking forward to seeing what this season has in store and can't wait to help those with similar dreams and aspirations get back out there and experience the thrill of a temporary silenced passion!

I hope everyone has a great rest on the week and remember to always Keep Em Spinnin!

Thank you all again, & God Bless!
